Hi everyone!

Rikki the Realtor® here, sending out this month's blog/newsletter. I want to give all of my past/present/future customers all the valuable info possible, so I hope you'll follow along whenever you have time. 

I hope March has treated all of you well and that you're the sunshine and warmth has brought you all joy!

This month brought me some new listings and an awesome award in my office!

Because of all of your business, I was slowly get ready for the upcoming market without having to rush! I appreciate you all more than you know.

If you're wondering about what there is to do around the city this month, I've dropped just a couple of my favorites!

1. Yoga @  The Kauffman Center for Performing Arts-April 4th 

I am not exaggerating when I tell you that there couldn't be a more beautiful space to be in-even if you're not someone that enjoys yoga. a 50-ish minute class is led with live music playing the most relaxing sounds. There's typically 50+ people all under the Kauffman Center skylight and it is truly something to witness. Due to the large amount of people that like to come, they offer two sessions that morning. One at 8:30 and another at 10:30. These typically sell out so I would grab one now! At $10/ticket I highly recommend telling everyone you know! I am excited I get to join this time but this is usually offered every few months or so.

2. Brunched! -April 4th

I am excited to try this one out for the very first time! The Guild is hosting DOZENS of vendors offering samples of brunch, breakfast, cocktails, and more. A ticket includes unlimited samples! A portion of the proceeds go towards Harvester's Community Food Network so it should be both a great time as well as a great cost. Though online many kinds of tickets have sold out, there are still options for the early-bird ticket which includes a lounge and early entry at 11:30AM. No worries, you're still also able to join the General Admission line at noon.

3. Open Mic Night @ Grinder's KC- Monday, April 13th 6-9pm

Still my favorite activity each month! Doors open at 6 and at 7, anyone interested in performing at the mic gets a chance! I like to go and listen to everything from poetry, music, comedy, short stories. Enjoy Grinder's famous pizza, and lots of drink options (alcoholic and non). This event is free to enter! Due to the craziness of the past couple months I've had to miss out on this one. I'm hoping I get to make it this time!

4. Clay by Candelight @In the Lowest Ferns- Tuesday, April 21st-7pm

 My artsy friends, there is a pottery class by candlelight in the trendiest place in all of Kansas City. Get creative in a calm and relaxing space. This one is great for a friend or a few as well as solo. I'm super excited to share what I've made from the month before. Tickets below:

You may be wondering most of all, "What's going on in the housing market?"

Now that Spring has Sprung you are going to see lots of new properties hitting the market (if you haven't already). This season is when a lot of life changes are happening (empty nesters getting ready to downsize, people graduating college and needing to relocate, and many people ready to make moves that they wanted to avoid during the busy holiday season and when the weather was  bad). As far as interest rates and housing prices, there is still quite a bit up in the air because of all the things currently happening in the world. Fortunately for you, you know a Realtor who you can ask questions to anytime and who can keep you updated. Please never hesitate to reach out, I am here to help!

Drink of the month: Nothing says Spring like a "Strawberry Limoncello Spritz". Light, refreshing, and a fun fruity color! 

Design news: Curtains? Floor-to-Ceiling is the way to go!

According to "The Home Study", going big with curtains not only looks pleasing to the eye, but it can actually make a room appear larger and more grandiose with this small detail. 

What do we think of this trend?

The affirmation to close us out: "I treat my home like a sacred temple, not allowing harmful energy in."

Remember that Spring Maintenance on your homes is so so important! Schedule a little bit of fun to go with your spring cleaning. Checking your filters, appliances, gutters, and removing debris is great for clearing space in your brain and it's also great for keeping up with your home's value!
