Rikki the Realtor® here, sending out this month's blog/newsletter. I want to give all of my past/present/future customers all the valuable info possible, so I hope you'll follow along whenever you have time. 

I hope February has treated all of you well and that you're excited that Spring is getting closer every day!

Last month started out with a lovely closing and ended up with many clients ready to put their homes on the market in time for Spring!

Because of all of your business, I was able to truly cherish time with friends I don't get to see often and take a little time to love on all my lovely clients and catch up with them. For me its about the relationships.

If you're wondering about what there is to do around the city this month, I've dropped just a couple of my favorites!

1. AM Club @ Pitchside Coffee- Saturday, March 7th 9AM-2PM

Do you like the idea of community in the morning rather than late at night? AM club is the new trend! Each month, the party takes place in a new coffee shop and the focus is wellness (with a workout class before, taking place at 9am). This differs a lot from the typical late night, alcohol-focused event. Coffee and a DJ to start your day off with some fun-while you get to skip a hangover. I will drop the link below for tickets-starting around $15! A great place to  go with a group of friends or solo to meet people!

2. Uncorked: Kansas City- Saturday, March 7th-6-10pm

This is perfect for my wine-enthusiast clients! Once a year, "Uncorked" comes to Union Station and puts on a HUGE event. 110+ vendors show up and let you taste unlimited wine. There are food trucks, a great DJ, a great photo booth, and lots more. I typically get a big group to come with to enjoy a night out. The link for tickets is below:

3. Open Mic Night @ Grinder's KC- Monday, March 9th 6-9pm

Still my favorite activity each month! Doors open at 6 and at 7, anyone interested in performing at the mic gets a chance! I like to go and listen to everything from poetry, music, comedy, short stories. Enjoy Grinder's famous pizza, and lots of drink options (alcoholic and non). This event is free to enter!

4. Clay by Candelight @In the Lowest Ferns- Tuesday, March 24th-7pm

Trying something new this month! My artsy friends, there is a pottery class by candlelight in the trendiest place in all of Kansas City. Get creative in a calm and relaxing space. Tickets below:

You may be wondering most of all, "What's going on in the housing market?"

We have not seen a rise in interest rates! Predictions are still that we will be in a buyer's market later this year. With Spring on our heels, you'll likely see LOTS of houses coming to the market. If you're thinking of putting your home on the market or if you know someone that is, please reach out! Sellers will really benefit from tips on how to list their home when there's lots of other competition in the market.

Design news: Statement Walls > Statement Colors

While bold and vibrant tones are still trending, things are going a step further. Prints and textures are a new-ish way to make a trendy statement, which hasn't been seen in quite some time! Murals, stone, different paneling, etc. Prepare to see it all!

What do we think of this trend?
